Once upon a time!

Once upon a time, there was a king or may be two or three. Does it really matter how many kings there were. Not really...You know why? It’s not the king or prince or may be a fairy that attracts our attention; it is this phrase that leads us towards bygone ages and we feel ourselves in a kind of trance. That is why almost every fairy tale starts with this phrase. This simple phrase has a kind of magic that capture the attention of reader or listener. When I pondered upon the reason behind this magic I came to a certain conclusion. May I share with u? Oh thanks...
You know what...we people are really afraid of time. Time keeps on moving. it never consider any plead ,any reasoning any request and moves ahead regardless of weeping eyes and broken hearts that it leaves behind. This continuous threatening phenomenon keeps a man concerned about his present and scared regarding its future. the confronting tired human beings feel themselves safe when they think about an event or incident that has happened and has become the part of mere past. They believe that past is not as devastating as the difficulties of prevailing present and the worries of approaching future. In this condition, past always attracts them. They can mold them. They can decorate it .They can change it according to their choice. And that's what we human being want’ complete authority''.Its not possible to change our present and future .But we can give the shade of our own choice to our past. Because in this case,’ time has lost its ''ultimate authority''.So it does not really matter that once upon a time there was only one king or two or three.........the thing that really matters is that how many kings we want to be there.....

H M,

True. Time does not wait for anyone and is a great leveler. We speak about past to keep our memories on happy mode.

Take care
A very interesting perspective !

This was very provocative. We really can change the past.

it's when we grow up that we learn life is not a fairy tale. It may start with 'once upon a time' but not always end with 'and they live happily ever after'.

i agree. such a trance we have to wake ourselves into reality.

nice post heavenly muse!
